I am going to start this year off with a very odd resolution. I think most would think this was a difficult task, but to be honest being on Pinterest has go me thinking. For the year of 2013 I will only buy clothing from a thrift store, or resell shop. There will of course be a few limitations, like work shoes and undergarments. I have looked for work shoes at the thrift store, but I couldn't find non slip shoes.
My goal is to post items I have gotten from thrift store as the year goes on. Prior to the new year I did get rid of a large amount of clothing that didn't fit or were out dated. However, I did try my best to make sure I some staple items to make it through the year. For example I asked for a new pair of skinny jeans for Christmas.
A few months ago I made a decision. I was going to start to dress they way I wanted to dress. Wear something because it's comfortable and because I like it. Some times this means that I might be miss matched or may not be wearing something that is very attractive. But either way I feel good in what I am wearing. A few months ago I also chopped my hair all off (17 inches). Giving me a new confidence in myself.
Needless to say my style has changed quite a bit over the past new months. I'm not quite sure I have one particular style. However, if you notice a pattern in what I buy let me know!
In preparation for the new year I got a goodwill card, found my local salvation army, one local thrift store and have heard about a supposedly amazing thrift store called savers.
